What good will shutting down Youtube will do for Google
No no, they'd be sinking the data. AKA videos, statistics, OLD YouTube accounts. Imagine the possibilities of having barges they could sink to kill old YouTube. From there, they could claim control over YouTube's future directly, pushing changes continuously.
I'm bullstuffting a lot, yes, but it does seem weird Google is building barges with huge buildings on them, and they reveal information the same day YouTube gets forgeted by them... I wouldn't be surprised if they tried killing off old YouTube data so they would have an easier time integrating YouTube into Google+. Kill off everything incompatible/that they don't want, integrate what they do want. Eventually YouTube domain will redirect to plus.google.com/videos or something.
How is it a weird time for them to announce the purpose of it? Google changing their comment system isn't anything that hasn't happened before. They've been integrating Google+ and youtube for quite some time now. They just took one of the biggest steps recently.
Yep, I know. Just that barge buildings are weird as hell, and Google doing it seems odd.
remember google video
oh god
I miss Google Video slightly just because there was unique uploads on that which were killed when it went away. Not like I used it much, but the 1-5 times I did I'd rather be able to view again.
Why cant google+ make like a google video and get the forget out of here
Because Google Video lost to YouTube, so they bought YouTube. Then Google+ lost to Facebook, so they hope merging both will make it powerful enough to work both ways.
