Author Topic: forgetin done with fallout new vegas (Read 1421 times)

While playing I got atleast 5 NCR Missions and other stuff finished and when I traveled to Hoover Dam my game crashed and apparently the saves also got deleted or something. Anyways due to that I just lost 3 hours of gameplay

Apparently i went back and when I save I noticed the new save doesnt appear

I just got loving bored because I got overwhelmed of what to do in the gang place.

It's like "RUN IN AND KILL EVERY loving THING YOU SEE."
Then I die by the guy with the flamethrower or whatever.

yeah, apparently new vegas has mad compatibility issues with windows 7 for no apparent reason

Windows 7 user and I've logged like 100 hours with no issues? maybe I got lucky.

New Vegas works perfectly on my Windows 7 64-bit. I'm running some 40 mods and logged around 60 hours. Have you checked C:\Users\Name\Documents\My Games\FalloutNV\Saves if there's anything there? I don't think any game would delete all your saves when it crashes. You're using more than a few saves right? You're not overwriting old saves?

New Vegas might be the most hardcore episode of Postman Pat, but as a game it fails to peek my interest with its borderline handicapped excuse on how they stuff you in the buns of the conflict (the left globe being the NCR, the right one being The Legion and the huge starfish in between being Mr.House) with some story about The Vault Dweller being so pissed off about some guy shooting him in the head he's ready to lose all of his other bodyparts to travel half of the world to seek revenge. If the people had more to say about Benny than just "This guy has a black and white checkered coat" such as "Oh, he is a famous gangster who has killed millions, also your parents" I'd actually be intrigued to find out who the hell he is. It would also justify Vault Dweller not having the polar opposite of ADD, like he does now. More info on the power of the platinum chip wouldn't hurt either.

If you want to keep playing after this, look up Fallout NV 4Gb Enabler to prevent crashes. Also get CASM for a really good autosave mod.

It is no lie that Bethesda's Gambryo terrible. Obsidian did the best they could with the engine.

The older Fallouts had way less crashing and were more stable anyway.
