Author Topic: Odd discovery of BL Player at my school  (Read 4957 times)

There's a new student at my school who arrived here about last week. He's in my US History class and it's a fun addition to the group, to have him in there. I'm glad to be a friend to him, make him feel welcome.

So this morning on the bus, he was like "hey dude, look at this" with a grin on his face, and tried to show me pictures of furry research (wasn't extremely graphic, but was severely borderline, the kind of stuff Badspot would probably ban for) he had on his iPhone. I instantly turned away from the screen, disghusted, while he laughed.

This was a really weird turn of events, but out of curiosity I asked him, "Do you happen to go on the Blockland Forums?" (I asked this being reminded of the presence of the Furry Megathread on offtopic). To my surprise he said yes. It's kind of cool to finally meet someone else who really plays Blockland, though this is a weird-as-heck way to discover it. He then told me he visits the forums but as a lurker.

So yeah. Cool but really creepy way in which I found another blockland player in real life.

Anyone else ever met BL players in real life by circumstance before?

Yeah, some 8th graders play Blockland apparently, but since I don't go to the normal high school (my district's middle and high school are together), I never get to really talk to them. They don't really seem like people I would really be friends with, however. I wish someone I knew at my new school played Blockland, but our game is so obscure.

Guy shows you furry research, and the first question in your head is "does this guy go on blf"? Come on, man.

It's almost like furries don't exist outside of the BLF!! What concerns me more, though, is that he decided to show you furry research in public. Unless anything furry = research to you, I don't think anyone would want to be looking at anything lewd, especially with society's stigma around research.

1. is furry
2. hey you go on bl forums?

HOW DID IT COME TO THIS?

Doesn't seem like a huge logical jump to me. What kind of messed up person would show furry research to someone they just met? The same kind of person that willingly comes to BLF.

ya. my friends girlfriend plays it and and somebody i met a long time ago.

The first thing people think of when they hear furries is the blockland forum. Dear God.

Don't you mean deer god??

but it was actually true!

I do not go on many other forums for games, and the ones I do go on, I have not seen as much of a presence of furry-related material as I have on the BLF, so of course that's what came to mind first. The subject of Furries is one that is discussed quite often here anyway, at least from my point of view. I can just as easily associate a thousand other subjects with the Blockland forums anyway. Legos, Ragecomics, Politics, MLP, etc.
