the forget is that

Avatars only upload if they're 74x74 or lower now

i've had this happen with my current avatar before
i don't know what the issue was, i ended up having to find a sprite sheet, save each frame as a seperate image, then put it together with a gif maker and it worked
but that's not really something that can be done with this

Yup, I had the same problem but then when I lowered my avatar to 74 height it worked fine.

I guess I'll hold onto my 75x75 avatar as long as I can in that case.

i'm having this problem again even resized it to 74

I received this error with a 75x75 png about 13.4 KB. I tried re-saving it from Photoshop as a high quality jpg, which made the file size go up to something like 35 KB, and I still received the error. For pngs, the only option Photoshop provided me with when saving it was None or Interlaced, and by default None is selected so that's what I always do. However, upon changing it to Interlaced, which made the file size go up to 15.0 KB, it uploaded successfully.

So if you're having this issue (since no one posted a solution) try an interlaced image I guess.

I don't have photoshop?
