tried it today n yesterday, holy crud is this a bad one lol
really bad controls because of the awkward fixed camera but still 3d style, gimmicks appear for a whole level and then vanish forever (a constant issue in the newer games anyway), "boss fights" are reptitive and more often than not more frustrating than they really should be (usually because of the awful feeling controls)
not buyin this one

some friends and i have made a super event of this weekend because we have so much cool stuff happening
pokemon origins, then doctor whoodles, link between worlds and super mario 3d, and finally a hockey game that our tv crew is doing

i am assuming that you didn't like it because you were playing with friends hinted that you don't own it and you had a super sausagefest weekend
what comes with multiplayer on a single screen should be, granted, not great camera
and i think it's fine that gimmicks, although now i think i've grown dislike for the term, are temporary because you only have to deal with it one level, and if you like that gimmick you could just play it over assumingly

now i don't own a wii u so i can't vouch for it but

Then came Mario 3D, and now the new one... Mario 3D with Catsuits and 9 new minigames!
Oh boy! Why make an all new Mario game when we can take an older formula and plug old stuff into it!?

"Hey, remember this old thing? Yeah, we put it and it alone into your new Mario game for nostalgia! It adds nothing to the game, but hey... remember the good times?"
