Great Works Information

Okay guys, since we are working on the International Airport Great Work, I felt it'd be helpful to post how to send materials to the Great Work. We need all the materials we can get so it'll finish faster!

Now you may be asking, what's the use for an International Airport? Actually, it gives several big advantages to your cities. First of all, tourists will have an easier time getting to your city, and you will receive more tourists than ever! Second, materials can  be transferred to and from the Global Market to your city faster and easier. As you can see, it's a huge advantage for everyone in the loop that has connection to the Airport. Although it is not an advantage to the whole region, it's one step closer to a fantastic region.

Now, to send materials to the Great Work, you're going to need to mine it up (Metal and Ore) or drill it up (Crude Oil), so place something down. Then plop down a Trade Depot. Set the material you're sending to the global market as "Use Locally" then click on the Great Work. You should see something like this:

Click on the power button to sign up for delivering the material to the great work. As you can see, I am delivering Crude Oil to the great work. Here's a production line to help explain where your materials go. (I'm using Oil as an example, it's the same for every material)
Oil Well      -->             Trade Depot    -->           Great Work
Oil is drilled up.         Oil is delivered to depot.          Oil is sent to the great work.

You can buy some from the Global Market and set it to deliver to the Great work. Also not sure if you're in range of the great work, I'd have to double check.

I'll be happy to buy metal from you!

I need some way to transport my materials to you, blake.
At the moment I'm not connected to your city.

Great Work Update

Here are the current statistics of the Great Work construction.

Great work everyone, we're making huge progress on the Great Work. Some of you have school off tomorrow so if you can, feel free to send more materials to the Great Work. I may or may not be on tomorrow, just remember to abide by the rules.

CFB Pro Region

I mentioned this a few posts back, but we are having a CFB Pro Region for the best city makers. I'll be looking at cities this week and will decide who will be invited to the region. I will try to give you guys a notification a day in advance if you need to add anything or fix up something. I'll be adding a poll on what map CFB Pro Region shall be.

I might buy SimCity, but is it really worth it? I love geography, economics, demography, statistics, and maps and I think this is just the game for me. Is there singleplayer too? Are you able to play in MP too and chat with others? Also are the controls easy, and is it well worth $39.99 ($40)?
