Author Topic: What is the most important item in the event of a disaster?  (Read 12413 times)

arrows vs. spears

minus shields

"bows spears bows spears bows spears"
um guys - crossbow? possibly even a repeating one?
projectile power of a spear, ease of use exceeding a bow
edit: could probably be modified to fling something like pebbles, if ammo is still an issue

but really, a metalworking lathe. just a lathe, a small pedal-powered one that can be folded up and moved easily somehow. if i could design and build that before the disaster, then almost any sort of metal could be made into any tools i need to survive.

"omg you can't do that because drill bits and such are separate parts" -inevitable comment
what prevents me from just sticking a pointy stick in it and working my way up from that?

Look out, arguing inbound!
money doesn't count as an item guys!!

money doesn't count as an item guys!!

ok heres a run down in case you people dont get it:

an item counts as one physical thing

as long as it is welded or held together, for example a bow is a combination of string and metal/wood, and thats fine because it is held together.

money is ok as long as your using a credit card, or one 100 dollar bill.

OT: money isnt a good idea because you cant really use it for much in time of need
