it's mainly the god awful cutaway gags that lower the quality so drastically it's hardly worth watching anymore.

and that every single minute? maybe it used to be funny but it really isn't. you can easily tell they aren't even trying anymore.

most of the jokes aren't relevant to current events or culture and they're just stupid so american dad is a vastly superior and actually funny show imo

I like South Park to death, but...
Personally i used to like family guy. The Brian and Stewie episodes were really the only things that kept the show a few miles near "intelligent". The show doesn't try to push messages (like south park, south park has even stated this themselves), it just stuffs out a stupid story and puts some most of the time funny jokes into it.

This will definitely not be Brian's "final gone for good" death. If you check on Wikipedia you can see "upcoming episodes" listing some with "Brian" in the title.

I wasn't completely disappointed with this. Of course I haven't seriously followed or watched Family Guy in years.

Stewie and Brian's adventures were the only thing worth watching any more anyway.

And Vinnie is likable and actually has like, genuine character traits and no ulterior motives towards "replacing" Brian.

If they're gonna do something like this, they need to stick with it and take it seriously, like they did with the trapped in the bank vault episode. I don't want any future episodes where Brian comes back to life and seeks revenge on Vinnie for replacing him, I swear to loving god.
