Xalos hasn't made anything so bad that it makes him a 'stuffty add-on maker' and to be honest he's pretty experienced.

I don't know how good of a scripter Xalos is, so I can't defend him. Regardless, everybody has ample room to grow their abilities and usually most people are willing to help along the way, but not everyone will adopt the kindest attitude. Being treated poorly for making mistakes is an unfortunate part of raising your skills to a higher level.

The solution behind this whole drama is to not take constructive criticism (or even just jerk comments) to a personal level.

You are not the first person to encounter this, probably everybody has.  Happens to me all the time because I suck at building, coding, etc, etc.  Yeah, I wish I was better, but I just go and do something else.

I would argue that abandonment is a bad coping mechanism, people being starfishs shouldn't stop you from perusing a skill. In this case Xalos' best course of action would probably have been to say to the person, "I tried doing what you said and you forgeted up my script even more, so let me do it the right way" and kick them from the server. Then, he should have proceeded to fix his script and ask a trusted friend for help if he needs it.

I find the best course of action would have been to make a witty joke about Jewish people than ban the player from his server in a number made up of all 6s. We expect people to take criticism but that doesn't mean they have to.
