No. The issue is that because of U.S history, black people make up a good chunk of the people in poverty nowadays, and a lot of those people also inherited a culture that doesn't always put a lot of value in education. White people who are also in poverty act no different. Getting that to change is difficult because of that lack of value in education. It has nothing to do with their race

The only real difference between white and black people is how they look and (occasionally) how they speak. A person's behavior and everything else is influenced by their environment.

Well physically they are different. Like their hair, and some other minor genetic things. But there are general physical differences in every race. The speech is just because of culture, it has nothing to do with their race either.

Some intelligence is genetic, yes, but saying an entire race has lower intelligence is stupid. People seem to forget that stereotypes actually have a psychological difference in how much effort people put into their education as well. There are some people who honestly think they should talk with bad grammar and act stupid because they're black. And so they put no effort forth to actually do well in school. The opposite effect can sometimes be seen in asians, where they try harder just because they slightly feel like they are supposed to. If you care about your education and actually try to do well, it doesn't matter what race you are, you will do well.

Other studies have found that IQ is almost entirely genetic. I'm not saying they're any worse for it, but black people have the odds slanted against them.

Almost all intelligence is genetic. IQ is not a measure of how bastardized your grammar is nor how much effort you put into school or how stupid you act. It's a measure of your cognitive abilities. Education does not increase IQ.

blacks only have a lower average IQ because of the conditions most of them live in, an IQ test is far from an actual measure of intellegence and you're bound to get a better score on it if you have simple things you've memorized from school, if I went to India and took a translated test I will gareente you that my score will be lower than if I took one in america. I'm certain that someone who does a lot of puzzles and things will do better on IQ tests than someone who has little else to do than wander the streets bored, regardless of their race. And that lack of value in education would also put a sizable dent in IQ test scores too. If you don't care about doing well, why would you? And besides, IQ tests aren't always really accurate. There's a lot of people who think they should be completely revised

You could be right, race may affect someone's IQ. But I don't think it has nearly as significant of an effect that people think it does.

I'm on your side here, but do you know what an IQ test actually is? It's just a bunch of logic puzzles and things to test your actual mental ability. Memorizing things from school wouldn't help anybody on any IQ test

Conditions do not effect logical reasoning. I mean, smoking crack every day probably makes you dumber so if you want to argue that the reason black IQ distribution is lower than other races is their crack addiction go ahead. But proper IQ tests do have a high correlation with actual intelligence. Furthermore, are you trying to argue that the reason blacks don't score as high as whites on American IQ tests is because they don't come from America or that they don't speak English? What?

Longitudinal studies have shown that IQ does not fluctuate much or at all through the average human's lifespan. Statistical inaccuracies are also ironed out by large sample sizes. Take it for whatever you want it to mean, but on average black people score an entire standard deviation lower than average for human beings. If you want to tell yourself that IQ tests don't reflect intelligence, go ahead. Again, I'm not trying to say blacks aren't as good as whites or whatever, I'm just saying the statistics point to an intelligence gap between races.

Yeah I don't think you know what an IQ test is. Or at least, not a legitimate one. IQ tests shouldn't test any knowledge whatsoever

But anyways, I'm sticking to my guns. I've met some extremely intelligent black people, and I'm satisfied to just believe that any gaps in statistics are due to apathy, since apathy towards education (and IQ test scores) is common among people in poverty.

That's the thing though, all of these studies do pick people from similar areas with similar conditions. Picking people from vastly different areas with far different conditions make your studies bunk.
