I don't like the new ships. They need to be in the LM color scheme.
I'm assuming we're the "talk of the town" as it were?

I personally am not a fan of brown as a primary color for ships. I feel like i'm flying something that I just dropped in the toilet... Brown works well though for little "pads" on the ship for putting shields on them.
Besides, it'd be cool to have some ships using custom but relatively appropriate color schemes like the Garmillan fleets during the battle of the rainbow cluster

Why can't we have a dark blue hull color, all my ships are designed with a dark blue/navy primary, black secondary, and gray highlight/tertiary scheme in mind.

Either way, I'm trying to evaluate the usefulness of drones or EVE style stationary sentry drones.

Also, what are the general dimensions of cruiser class turrets? I'm trying to figure out what would be the best way to outfit a 180 to 200m long battleship. The current desinh calls for 25 to 30 individual turrets, not counting point-defense.

Edit: 36 guns total, 6 top, 6 lower, 24 casemate guns, as of current design. I probably should plan on using larger turrets.

I'd still like to fly the destroyer if it's still an option. If not, then I'll gladly fly a stealth fighter.

Any raids or missions scheduled?

Any raids or missions scheduled?

I think that the Starmade people have been known to check BLF. If your in the group the would probably have it on steam somewhere.

Well, they can't be. The reason they have those funny shapes and colors is because power generation in this game is based on the shape of your generator. It's complicated to explain, but basically the ships are built out of power blocks arranged in elaborate patterns in order to generate the most power possible with the fewest blocks.

Radar jamming requires 50 power per second, per block on your ship. If I were to add brown armored plating, the radar jammer would become to expensive for the ship to operate. The ships are essentially flying power generators because it's the only way to get radar jammers (which are meant for tiny scout ships) to work on ships this big.

It's not even brown, it's orange.

Stocking, FR sent on Steam. Are you able to do training now?

Sounds like fun, could I join in on flying ships?

I keep missing the training

unlikely before but maybe now, what with steam

Is the training server up?

Gray with red and black highlights is the best.

New stealth frigate: Hurtwhisper. More bigger. More stealthier. More shootier. It's an altogether better vessel built using everything I learned from the combat trials of the last ship. These stealth ships are extremely specialized and will be used exclusively on base raids where gigantic, indestructible turrets would otherwise pose a huge threat to an attacking fleet.

As you can see here, the Hurtwhisper is almost as long as a Fire Lilly, and although it's lightly armored and completely unarmored it's not obvious who would win a fight like this. Hurtwhisper's radar jamming defense means that none of the Fire Lilly's turrets or drones can target it, meaning it can only hope to win with its manually fired forward-shotguns.

The same goes for the Shepot stealth fighters, although the Shepots would likely require a Hurtwhisper's support if they ever wanted to break through the shields on something as big as a Fire Lilly.

That would definitely be a possibility if I knew your Steam name. I have no unaccepted friend requests from anyone called "Gojira."

I'll train some Shepot pilots tomorrow at 7pm EST, and we'll have a raid the same day on the DFN base. Contact me on Steam at that time and I'll give you the server IP.

I think it makes more sense that we have better stealth ships now, since we're still a mercenary faction (even tho we never get contracts). It's much easier to kill factions with no one on, and stealth ships make it really easy.

Oh also, now that we have heavy stealth ships, bumping and stealing enemy ships is now a reality.  :cookieMonster:
