Author Topic: Can i run Battlefield 4?  (Read 4056 times)

im looking at getting a new gateway DX desktop that is listed on the company site to have these specs

Windows 8 - 3GHz Intel® Core™ i5 quad core - 8GB memory, max 16GB - 1TB storage - Intel® HD - 300W - Wireless - Bluetooth® 4.0 - HDMI® - USB 3.0

if i added an NVIDIA 760GTX Graphics card would it run battlefield 4 at a decent fps?

Maybe.

Now hook it up to your TV and get this!

If you can run it that is.

3GHz and 760GTX run BF3 on ultra and 16x anti-aliasing, so i'm pretty sure you'll do fine.

i dont know what the 300w means

also is it possible to hook up my current ps3's controllers to a pc?

Maybe.

or you can not be stupid and get an xbox controller

You need a program to install the proper drivers for those things, but yeah.

300w is the power supply's wattage.

If you were to buy a 760, you'd definitely want a new power supply. About 550w.

any of you guys going to ditch the console market this gen? I love Playstation but I feel like a Pc is a better way to go seeing as my current computer is crap anyway, then I have a useful computer and all my gaming things in one device.

You'd be lucky to even get the 760 to start on a 300W PSU, let alone play with decent FPS.

ditched it a while ago

You are going to have a really hard time trying to start the 760 on 300W of power. You will need at least a 500W.

And until I see the case, I dont know if you could even fit it in.
