Can i run Battlefield 4?

how much money can you spend? you should just build your own pc

I need a new all around computer, im currently signed in on a dell optiplex gx260 with 512 mb of ram
i need it for homework and other things as well.
it cant open my online textbook and inbox together without slowing down and has problems running blockland at consistent fps with more complex commands like gunfights and high brick maps

it's time to get a new one when you go to the computer store and ask for more ram for it but they don't have any because it's an older memory type

plus I though building your own rig was even more expensive than a regular computer

I am only 15 with no job even though I want one despratly and i have 130$ to my name so it's mostly just my parents getting it for me. (But they haven't actually said they're going to yet) so i don't want to make it any more painful or complex for them money wise than it already will be. I'd have a higher chance of actually getting it.

That's handicapped in this situation, his computer will run BF4, he just need that GPU and higher wattage, which is easy to install.

what I got from reading the OP is that he is currently considering buying that pc then adding a 760
but he hasnt bought it yet

im confused. so you only want a graphics card or do you want a whole new pc? and no, building is always cheaper and more rewarding

yeah, if you have 800 then you should definitely build one yourself, as you will have a better computer for the price

but joysticks are meant for consoles. consoles have semi-auto aim and large as forget crosshairs. made just for gamepad using.

if you use a gamepad on a pc you will be horribly outmatched by mice players.

thts why we see console shooter players jumping around in circles. dancing and spraying at every turn. because they cannot quickly aim at targets.

on pc you turn a corner and see a person, you have 4th a second to aim the weapon and shoot. whoever was first wins. a gamepad could not in a million years compete with that.

Id be worried about getting the monsters that are modern video cards to fit in a stock prebuilt case.
I have a case specifically made for gaming and even i had to move a lot of stuff around to get my card to fit

yeah even a single video card is just massive. like double pci-slot 13x4x2 inches. just insane.
now there are extended motherboards to have 4 cards in... i cant even imagine loving with power cords inside that comp
