Author Topic: dynamic main menu (?)  (Read 1453 times)

Quite easy to explain, makes the game runs when the menu is loaded, like in half life2.

placing the Menu UI over the game screen and blocking the keyboard would work, and freeing the mouse without making it able to be static again.

How making a scene works:

player builds the scene, and saves it as "scn___" where the ___ is a name of player's choice.

where the player is looking will be saved, and where he is will also be spawned, and the scene will be loaded that way.

Events:

Onsceneloaded

Port made something like this

can you explain how to use it?

put it in addons and start bl

I think he means how does he set what build/whatever to use

I would use port's except for the fact it takes a very long time to initiate :/

wait
this seriously never worked for me and I can run blockland pretty nicely

I just tried it and it worked pretty nicely, just takes awhile to start up.
Does any errors appear in the console?

I remember awhile back I was trying to make something like this, except it would circle a floating island with fog all around it, and on the island there would be a small waterfall, and a camp site next to a river.

Though I could never figure out how I could make it start up when the client started up.

Read the code behind what I linked? ;)

Planned to do that, if I get mine working I'll probably will post it for you guys too see.

There was a hub addon earlier ago but it broke due to the shaders update. I used it, you could event your own map, so say, use some kind of lobby map and certain things activate certain menus like a main menu.

It loaded faster than Ports' if it does infact take years to start.
