A helicopter that can actually hover

What I want is a helicopter that can actually hover, rather than diving for the ground when you try to shoot something on the ground.
(just an example, it doesn't need guns)
The magic carpet can hover without any height loss, so why not give this a shot?

pretty sure it sort of slips on the air, eventually dive bombing, and yes, it does go down. slowly, but it does.

With such shooting maneuvers you mostly end up in ridiculous rotations while still going up.
I am working on a new version which improves that and more, just gotta have a bit more time to fix some stuff up.
It will work more like a helicopter, which, i think, works pretty well with shooting maneuvers like said in the OP.

I guess you would just need to make it such that the helicopter doesn't ever drift towards the ground at all...

I have no idea how that would be done though. Turning the mass to 0 would be a really bad idea, I'm guessing.
