Mine goes like this: There's first through sixth period, but there is also period 4A and 4B, which alternate every day. The normal periods are 50 minutes long, and fourth is 2 hours long with a half-hour cut out for lunch.
Also, half days anyone?
OT: My Social Studies (World History) class approaches what OP describes, as in no one listens to the teacher and use their phones under their desks while he shows us a relatively high number of powerpoints and videos. Oh, and he almost never has the lights on, even when we're doing class work.
