Author Topic: My laptop screen keeps going black  (Read 1596 times)

as the title explains, my laptop screen keeps going black, though i can still faintly see what is on the screen. i have to shut my laptop and re-open it and it usually lets it work for another ~10 minutes. i cleaned my laptop screen the day it started happening, so i'm guessing i forgeted up somewhere. do you guys know any fix to this?

how did you clean it?
"with extra amounts of water while it was on, and a dash of alcohol inbetween the lines"

how did you clean it?
damp cloth to the screen while it was shut off. i've done it before so im thinking i used too much water or something.

put it in the dryer
fixed. locking

no but really should this be something to like get a new computer over because its mostly just blackouts at random times

What, who taught you to clean a screen with WATER? You use rubbing alcohol or something else BUT water.

is your computer a blonde girl with a big ass?
cuz it aint goin' back.

Throw your Computer of a Cliff.

it worked before, and i saw an online guide that said you could use a damp cloth. which i did.
i probably should have looked into that more, but i assumed it was fine because i did it before no problem so i dunno

it could be because it has dead ram in it, you should check if all ram is working

if used wet tp with water to clean screens (though you should use microfiber towels lol)
its fine. but if you spray something onto the screen you risk forgetin it up if it drips down.

but if its back and forth black then working. i would assume its not water related. water damage is pretty  consistant usually, and things just remain broken.

Did you use 100% pure water?

Because pure water does not do anything to electronics.

Anywho, buy a screen cleaner next time. Also, tap water+electronics=shortingoutwires. Figure it out the next time you do that. You need to open the case and check for damages or you'd have to replace the screen.
