Author Topic: I did better on my Mile Run!  (Read 4030 times)

I'm in like the armpit of Long Island sound, so you were probably way off to the East.

What the heck, my school is crazy then.  I had to run the mile in under 7 minutes.  I barely made it and I got 6:50.  I practically threw up after.

Nice improvement. Last time I checked my mile I came in at 7.04

Your school is either insane or really competitive for no reason xD

Hm, only about 1 hour away from my house. Not to shabby.

5 minute mile is what i ran back in middle school
Do you run track or cross country? My best time freshman year was 6:14, but this year it dropped to 5:30. I don't quite believe you ran a five minute mile in middle school.   :/

I knew some dudes that did around there back then. It's not exactly uncommon.

It's possible, I ran a 5:39 in the eighth grade.

6:50 is not an incredibly fast mile. It is probably average for a semi-athletic hs student.

For the first time ever I ran 7 consecutive miles yesterday. Came out at just barely under an hour. Though I should probably spend more time on intervals since I play hockey.

I got like 7:50 or something last time.

That's still a long way from five tho

I'm assuming he didn't run 5 flat. Just somewhere in the 5 range.

I can sprint a 400 in like 2 minutes but after that I'm done.

8:30 is my average, we run it once every 2 or 3 weeks

nice one! im pretty bad at long distance running, but i can sprint well, 100m in 13 and a half seconds last i checked

I do terrible at long distance runs, but im pretty decent at short sprints.
I think my fastest mile during Freshmen year was around 12 min.
Ill be honest, its hard to run on a track. I find it easier to travel a route, like a forest trail or something like that because its not the same exact thing 4 times over.
