I feel like the new mura because of Epicduke

Who the heck likes Sonic Adventure 2 over Generations?

The story is stuff and honestly the gameplay hasn't aged well. I booted it up last year on my gamecube for a nostalgia trip and just thought to myself, "Didn't this game used to be fun?"
It's one of the most popular games in the entire series. Many people view it as the last good sonic game. I think people liked it because SA1 was an amazing adaption of the classic games onto a new 3D environment. It added a sense of adventure and story too. SA2 took this and improved it. People also see this as the last good sonic game because of sega becoming a third party software developer directly afterward, but I disagree. Sonic heroes has multiple stories, seperate levels with multiple missions, and unique moves for each character. It's very similar to the adventure games. I also sorta liked the gimmick of playing as three characters at once. After that shadow the hedgehog came out using SA2's same sort of gameplay formula but taking away speed and focusing more on fighting enemies. This was done very well, and usually a shift in gameplay like that would make the game bad such as in sonic unleashed.

And then there was sonic 06. The entire series is still recovering from that mess.

"we never like to talk about that tragic event."

Try going through Crazy Gadget as fast as you can.

You'll see how the game aged rather badly.

I'm not saying the Adventure gameplay can't be refined, of course it can. But since Sonic '06 fell on it's face, Sonic Team got knocked back to the drawing board for the formula, and since then I think they're playing it safe and not bringing back whatever the refined gameplay formula is as of now.

No, I'm not counting Lost World as the formula's comeback because the level design and control wasn't traditional. Sonic was, yet again, trying something new.

trying something new.
I actually enjoyed it this time. The parkour was a great way to get around. I only have the 3DS version so I can't speak for the other one, but the parkour really opeened up new ways to pass a level. Running along walls allows you to sometimes completely skip platforming areas. (I never really liked those)

From what I got from YouTube videos parkour was controlled better in the 3DS version

Also said YouTube videos are saying that you'll have a great time at Frozen Factory 3 :cookieMonster:

From what I've heard, both versions are terrible, with the 3DS version being the worst. Every reviewer I've heard say this also said something about Frozen Factory 3 being absolutely horrifying but I have no idea what that's all about.

Your objective is to roll up snowballs and push them into holes to either continue the stage or get goodies like Red Rings. The first problem can be seen at the top right of your screen.

Yeah, it takes that long to complete the stage.

Along the stage journey hike some snowball with a mind of its own forms and begins chasing Sonic.

If he hits you, you're frozen solid for a bit. If he hits your snowball, it's obliterated. And it's back to square one with thee.

I never had self-experience of Lost World, infact all the information above was gathered from YouTube videos, but that is absolutely bullstuff, especially in a Sonic game.

That actually sounds like it might beat Crimson Carnival and/or End of the World in my heart as worst sonic level of all time.

on sonic adventure, i cant seem to beat emerald coast in less than 2 minutes
my best time is 2 minutes and 5 seconds

Try abusing the spin dash more.

Frozen factory was really bad but I just skipped a whole bunch of it with parkour. You have to think with wall running. It helps. You need to be open minded with that sort of level.

The game itself was really fun. I think the game is a step in the right direction. Rather than being forward focused it allows you to run really fast in any direction. As for the run button, I think its a toned down version of the boost that allows for multi-directional running rather than just flying past the whole level.

And once again I really just like the parkour. It allows for so many more paths to be created. (A whole bunch aren't even intentional)
If they made another sonic adventure style game except with parkour that would be amazing.

I tried the Lost World Demo on the 3DS and I've gotten 99 lives already, the parkour is p cool though
