Let's talk about the recent IOS/Android ports.

I think they are amazing games on their own while still being a good representation of the original games.
They are also made entirely by the fans(specifically taxman and stealth).
I still can't believe Sega actually supported the fans making an official port of the old games.
And the good ending of sonic 2 remastered is loving awesome moderately awesome. Go play it.

No. In the sonic 1 port you can access all seven chaos emeralds(and a loving hard special stage) and super sonic by using cheats.

In the sonic 2 port you can get all seven emeralds in the main game without cheating.

In the sonic CD port it wasn't even there.

In the upcoming sonic 3(and maybe knuckles) port I assume you will be able to get hyper/super sonic in the main game.

would you guys recommend getting the steam pack of sanic games?
niff and i already have a genesis with sonic 1, 2, and 3, all well need is sonic and knuckles to complete the original set, but i don't know if i should get the steam set instead if getting a classic sonic or knuckles
i would prefer getting sonic and knuckles for the genesis, but i don't know if it would be a wise spending option
