Author Topic: New Car Idea: PAL-V Flying Car  (Read 734 times)

Gentlemen, I have an idea that will blow you away.

The idea is using the PAL-V, a real life car that can alternate between flight and ground mode. This car uses helicopter blades as their method of flight. It can hit speeds up to 180 km/h, both on air and land. They say they want to role this baby out for commercial use soon in the future.

Now, in order to make this dream become a reality, we need to consider the following factors:

  • Options to Alternate between flight and drive modes. They need to be there, or it will be just like the Flying Wheeled Jeep. I recommend basing it off Stratofortress' Aircraft, like the F18 and A10.
  • Custom animations for unfolding of helicopter blades. We can't just make the aircraft morph into flight mode. It needs to look ultra badass by slow unfolding of blades.
  • How the PAL-V is going to fly. We can't just plonk a Fly Wheeled Jeep script into it, as it flys like a plane. We should try and implement more helicopter-like scripts

If you still have no idea what I'm talking about, check these websites:

So, I guess no one is interested?

If I could get some user feedback via the comments, it would be much appreciated.

It's a nice idea. However, I think that making it go from driving to flying would be pretty hard to script.

It has been done, but the vehicle had to be changed. I have done this with the jeep and flying wheeled jeep combined with the power of VCE and the changevehicle event. It was epic.

Looks like a helicopter got ripped apart and put on wheels
Still awesome though
