Author Topic: Dedicated Servers with the new Steam version?  (Read 548 times)

The new steam version is out, and it does not appear to include a launcher.  Attempting to run the executable directly still gives the error telling the user to use BlocklandLauncher.exe, even though it doesn't exist.  Setting steam launch options to -dedicated works, but now it says I am constantly in-game, and I cannot launch blockland again to play on my own dedicated server.  Do I have to maintain two separate blockland installations to do this now?

Well it's not a good idea to run Blockland two times from the same folder at once, so it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Create a shortcut on the desktop by right-clicking, pressing new, then shortcut.

Paste this into the location box: "%PROGRAMFILES%\Steam\steamapps\common\Blockland\Blockland.exe" ptlaaxobimwroe -dedicated -map skylands

if it gives you an error then try pasting this instead: "%PROGRAMFILES(x86)%\Steam\steamapps\common\Blockland\Blockland.exe" ptlaaxobimwroe -dedicated -map skylands

After successful continue the wizard until done, then open the shortcut.

badspot hasn't redacted this post, so idk.

but yes, have two separate installations. makes sense anyway.
