Author Topic: I See Blockland Is On Steam, And A New Developer?  (Read 5515 times)

A couple days ago I noticed the game was on steam, but it also says that there are two developers, the new one being a guy named Ben Garney. What happened during my absence in blockland?

Ben Garney is Kompressor. He's been here for MANY YEARS. How long have you been away, man?!

Ben Garney=Kompressor.

If anyone wants background, he is the guy who helped Badspot do the difficult stuff, like the octo tree.

I always thought blockland was solely developed by eric hartman? AKA badspot. I do not remember a "kompressor"

EDIT: Also how do I connect blockland to steam?

file photo of kompressor from Retail's development stages

^
why do those trees look super shaded

they looked like the soft shaders bricks without the shadows lol

You mean the regular tree? What that have to do with octagons? And how is that hard?

they're interiors

Oct tree?

a tree that grows octagoons

a system that makes certain faces on bricks hidden by other bricks not render

it basically helps reduce lag a LOT

kompressor also helped with shadows and shaders and other low-level engine stuff

he's been a developer since the beginning of retail
