Author Topic: Why anyone who buys Beats is a total tool  (Read 4483 times)

What's next? People who wear green shirts are tools because they could be wearing black to effectively absorb sunlight?

thats a dumb thing to do. white reflects more sunlight making you less hot.

Code: [Select]
Frequency range: 18 - 28,000 Hz
Impedance: 32 Ohm
Sensitivity: 112 dB

If a higher frequency range means more treble and less bass, I guess that answers why my headset isn't the best for EDM.

Not sure if higher ohms or sensitivity is better.

I wouldn't spend more than 80 dollars on a headset

Yeah beats are comfortable but totally not worth the money
I would buy them if they weren't so loving expensive

just here to clear up some misconceptions some people may have about the stats or whatever. On my phone so I can't type a long ass comprehensive paragraph but

Concerning frequency (not gonna bother with the other things now) the important thing to note is the /response/ if you wanna do some true comparisons. The (bass)-to-(treble) numbers is the /range/. Pretty much any pair of headphones you get that you don't spend $5 on at a walmart will be 20-20k or better/around that.
The response is measured graphically, and generally speaking, a flatter response is better. I'm sure op knew this already but just wanted to inform the other peeps k bye

How the forget does a 10Hz frequency limit difference matter?

beats are an effective way to sort out the idiots from a crowd

I'm not bothered when people buy stuff like this. But I've seriously had people tell me that they had a better computer cause they bought alienware. I've also seen them telling other people that alienware makes the best gaming computers and I just cringe so hard.

For the money that Alienware asks for, I'm pretty confident that their computers will be top-notch, even if overpriced.

yeah, top-notch for about a year or two and then you're left high and dry because you can't upgrade the laptops

my brother got a pair for free and tbh, apart from the battery thing they are pretty damn good compared to my iPod headphones i never really use

Oh my god so much this
I got an alienware m11x, lowest model because I couldn't afford any higher in 2010. Now I'm having to get another computer because it's hard to run anything on it now. even web browsing is mediocre on it currently.

That's how I feel. I can never find a good pair of earbuds, that's why I settle with the apple earpods. Because they just fit so perfectly.

There's going to be a lot of people who do things differently or have opposite views with you, that doesn't mean they are all tools. The sooner you realize this, the happier you will be in your day-to-day life and won't need to force your opinion.

Think of it, you are complaining and getting your jimmies rustled all whilst people are enjoying music. Some happen to be walking around with them around their neck not even thinking of you one bit.

The point of this thread is to prove that there are choices equal in "quality" to the Beats at a rediculous fraction of the cost. Those who wittingly purchase Beats to have "superior sound quality" have zero knowledge in audio and are just social trend tools. When I listen to audio through Beats, all my music is literally just drowned in bass. Like I can't hear most of the other ranges, it's terrible.

The lower the lowest number, the more bass range it has. The higher the highest number, the higher the treble range. Ohms are your "power consumption" for your freq range.

and will wine if they damage their $300 beats or scuff there $200 shoes.
how the hell is that a problem?
"UGH! why don't people want to ruin their expensive things?!?!"

People buy Beats because they're the in-fashion and they want to look cool. Yes, it makes them a tool but looking cool is still a practical use of them.
Same reason they buy apple products.

Also, I don't get this whole craze that's obsessing over bass.
I mean I have some dubstep and edm on my music player, but I don't give a stuff if my headphones can do 20 or 19 hertz.
