Afterglow headset mic problems

I don't like the Afterglow headsets. They break way too easily.
I like the afterglow controllers though because I'm not constantly changing batteries.

Edit:  I finally got it to record my voice by moving to the usb and audio jack in the back of the computer, but I can no longer hear anything.

DOUBLE EDIT:  Got it working, jsut looks stupid because the audio is in the front but the usb is in the back. Locking now.
