Your responsibility is admirable and I'm sure your parents will understand if you explain it to them.
Thank you, I will see what I can do.
So you don't like it for the prices and stuff, but you love it, yet it still isn't what you wanted it to be, and because it's expensive, you are kind of stuck?
Anyway, tell your parents about it. You can probably re-sell it or have them return it (assuming they kept receipts and such), then either let them keep the money, or split it, or idk.
I was actually more interested in making massive investments on Steam because I've got this ultra powerful PC that I built with my father not too long ago and I'm more than grateful for it. I'm more interested in investing in the computer rather than another handheld device when I don't even travel often or have much interest in spending a ton of money on one game where with 40 dollars, I could get at least 10 games on Steam.
There's an incredible difference that $200 dollars could make and could be put to so much better use than buying a 3DS that barely has any functionality other than playing expensive games with 3D eyecandy and browsing the internet which I have a computer and an iPod for already.
I'm stuck because I want to find a way to make this work because I'd feel bad if I took the 3DS back. I'm one of those weird kind of people that forms emotional attachments with objects such as handhelds or other special gifts.
Like, I absolutely hate returning gifts. It is the worst feeling in the world.
theres some good anime on netflix
download netflix when the servers are working and your email works
I'll try that. Although I no longer have Netflix, but I will get a free trial using my debit card.
The only games people play on the 3DS nowadays are Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Pokemon, so if you get one or both of those (totaling to <$75 iirc) you'll be good.
And yeah, you do have the desktop of your dreams, but you can't exactly bring it anywhere. That's what portable computers / consoles were made for, so you have something to do on the bus in the morning, at lunch (depending on how strict your school is), or wherever you may be.
This 3DS would be perfect if I still went to a public school, considering how much of a slacker I was in my original, stuffty high school. However, since leaving and starting homeschool, I'm near graduation a year earlier than the rest of my class, so I don't really leave my house like, ever. I want to get another job but I left my original job on some really bad terms and I'm afraid to apply to another job because of how my next employer might look at the situation that my first job completely exaggerated and misunderstood. Plus I just don't like the emotional pressure of being away from home and having to be around people. I think I've got some sort of problem that needs counseling or something.
you can get virtual console games for less than the actual 3ds games, you can also watch videos downloaded from the internet on the spotpass video app.
once the eshop is done with its period you can get youtube and demos of some games.
you can also play regular ds games on it too.
Yeah, I've got my regular DS games to play and I can finally finish my playthrough of Spirit Tracks, but it just feels weird and depressing to play the same DS games I've had for many years now. I started playing my Pokemon Soul Silver and became depressed within seconds. I think I may have a problem. lol
unless you wanna watch in 240p, you're outta luck
stuff.
I would've recommended to swap it for something else, but if you really want to make your parents happy then you should keep it.
I agree. I love the device but I'm just afraid of how much money I'm going to waste on it that could be put to better use, like the car I've been saving up for.
