Author Topic: 5 Senses.  (Read 2421 times)

Actually tempurature is the measure of how much heat it present, so it is not a sense.
This makes no sense. People have a sense of tempature.

These both fall under touch.

Internal temperature changing without you touching anything?

We do have more than 5 senses, it's been confirmed, there's no need to fight it.

These both fall under touch.
Actually, they're completely different systems.
Your body can detect heat radiation without touching the object. Pain receptors aren't just normal ones that get overloaded, they're a seperate system.

Why do you know so much about this stuff, This is such a weird topic to know a lot about.

Everybodys getting there nerd on!

There's this wikipedia article for all that's worth, but I did hear it somewhere else, don't remember though.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetoception
Ah, you're right then.
However, since it is such a minor thing and isn't developed at all, idk if it should even be included
it would be kinda fun to see if you could slowly enhance it though

What was OP even hoping to accomplish with this topic lol
Was he hoping for a debate about the number of senses humans have?

The purpose of the thread was to ask if you had all 5 sense, or if you didn't have one, and list it down.

he just wanted to say he doesn't have a sense of smell

he just wanted to say he doesn't have a sense of smell
Well yes, kind of I guess you could say that. People don't understand what it's like to not have something someone normally does, like a sense of smell. I see my family smiling when they smell a cooked turkey, I don't know what that's like.

well you're lucky its the least important sense you dont have

Including, but not limited to:
  • Pain
  • Warmth and coldth
  • Acceleration
  • Magnetic fields

Expected you to list something as obvious as hunger in that list, but okay, lol.

These both fall under touch.

No they don't?
