It's not a choice or a condition
Experimenting with love is a whole different story
"Thought" you are gay isn't how most gay kids come out to their parents
Every gay friend I have has made SURE they're gay and have gotten support from friends before telling their parents
Being gay is like being blonde
You are born that way, it makes you who you are
And there is so much more to being gay than "having love with the same gender"
No. It's also loving the other person.
And maybe you did, maybe you did love the aforementioned person
But a lot of people see being gay as a special interest
And it's not
It's still love
It's still arguing over who takes out the trash
It's still cuddling on the couch
It's still baking cookies, making out and forgetting they're in the oven
It's still two human beings who care for one another
So as much as it would "suck" to have a gay kid because that's so bad compared to a straight kid
Yes, they are sure, and if they aren't sure, saying "are you sure" could deeply offend them if they're still figuring it out. Imagine telling your mom "I think I'm straight" and she says "are you sure? I mean, being lesbian is pretty great, why would you want a guy?" Would you not feel pressured?
