Help on garrys mod.

I have garrys mod but I know you need CS source to play TTT or anything else really. now on the steam page it says that you can have either CS source or Hl2.

Seeing as HL2 is on sale for like 1$ should I get it and will it be enough or do i need to get CS Source.

Gmod has low quality backup textures for certain Counter Strike Source models, but it's best to get Counter Strike Source so you don't have missing textures on maps or something, if you can get Half Life 2 along with Counter Strike Source, then get both if you want

CS source if you want to play TTT / use every single custom weapon made ever or hl2 for only some textures
both for the whole package

Hey you can get cs:s content for free you know.

 

This is legal, it's downloading the CS:S content from steam, and not the game.
Also if it was illegal steam would have removed it from their website :/
