"One of the actual airport workers was here manning the coffee place by himself. Free coffee, apparently. Hey, when you go, go get me an expresso with cream, sugar, and some vanilla flavoring. I'll cover you on what CO says."

"Fair enough, I'll try to be back before the briefing though. This stuff sounds pretty important,"

I turn and meander my way out of the briefing area, and quickly locate the coffee shop.

"Could I have two espressos, with sugar, cream, and vanilla?" I ask the man working the shop.

"Yes, it'll be a minute or two,"

He begins working on our coffees.

On my way to the briefing area, I spot Xavier walking up to the counter of a coffee shop, which much to my surprise was still being manned by one of the airport's own workers. Deciding to have a look for myself, I walk inside. My attention briefly turns to the flat screen television set tucked away in the corner of the room, displaying today's Yuktobanian news broadcast.

"... Within a day following Nerverak's capture of Ramonds, hundreds of publicized propaganda broadcasts have begun flowing out of radio stations scattered across the country, announcing that Cartelian has ceased to exist. Dictator Aron Kaspar, claiming to have fully ousted the Cartelian armed forces and displacing its governing body, recently demanded that all countries recognize the newly seized territory as Nerverak soil.

While many onlookers concede that Cartelian stands nearly defeated, Nerverak's propaganda campaign has met stout opposition from many renown world leaders, all of whom are refusing to consent to Kaspar's plea, dismissing the recent military advances as 'no more than a loathsome hegemonic crusade that is not only discordant with modern civilization, but is a barbaric violation of national conduct.'

Earlier this morning, Prime Minister Seryozha Nikanor addressed the Cartelian armed forces in a speech, stating that while he cannot ensure direct military aid at this time, his heart goes out to the Cartelian people and promises to not only grant asylum to any refugees fleeing the country, but also that Yuktobania will lend logistical support to any Cartelian war efforts within the forseeable future..."

"Glad to see Cartelian will still be on the map, at least for a little longer. You holding up alright?"

ooc: oh yeah, deoxys, let me know if i should change the dictator's name

"Eh, I'm holding up well enough. I'd say that all this stuff has broken me, because I never drink coffee,"

ooc: the name is fine

[assuming everyone is in the briefing room]
"Everyone here? Good. I'll get straight to the point. Cartelian is on it's last legs, and we need to get some ground. A large bomb has been used to capture all of our cities. We call it 'Ytinirt', the word for death in an ancient language. We have an idea to gain some ground and take some land. We will all be in bombers, bombing Reghadia at night. It is a coastal city. After we do the damage, we head for Merwalk in our own planes. They have some forces on the island, but you should be able to take them out. Frank will provide escort. The rest of you, you can choose whitch bomber you want to be in out of five bombers. They are all B-52's, so no reason to get picky. We will call you when we are ready. Take the B-52 flight manual on the way out. Dismissed.

I head for my bunk, wanting to get some rest before the mission.

ooc: you wanted a/g mission, you get it. Enjoy.

"Did anyone else notice that Ytinirt is just Trinity spelled backwards or is that just a coincidence?"

I walk back with the coffee. People are getting up and leaving.

"Got your coffee, I take it I missed it all,"

"I got it on audio."
I pull out a tape recorder and press play. The briefing repeats itself.
"Sound good?"

"We have to pilot bombers? Hell, I don't think I can do that. It sounds like I can't fly cover either. I call the tail gun position! That is, assuming they aren't going to make me fly one,"

"If I recall, the guns on a B-52 are automated."

"They should have an defensive weapons man on the bombers, oh well. I'll fly if I have to. Wasn't there something about a flight manual too?"

"Does this mean I can't fly my lancer?"

"I should probably get one, I'll be back," I say, and go to find a manual.

It isn't hard to find them. I take one and return to Jacov.

I grab a pilot's manual. "Ooooh, I flew a decommissioned B-52 as practice for ATG training, but I decided to stop 3/4 in the course to do the non-bomber stuff. I like precision better, but this would do!"

I frown as Danna walks by and says I only "left" the course 3/4 of the way through because I tried to do a barrel roll. "Hey, I only attempted it. There was no payload anyway!" I frown, "But can I pilot one?"
