anyway it's very possible that it's loose because it's very unlikely that the primer strike would cause it to fly open and instead it's the impulse of the gun forcing it open
but then again i've only seen a break top revolver in person before so idk what loading gates are supposed to really be like

Well, loading gates can simply be flicked open, but I don't think they are supposed to come open during firing. Why are people telling me to shoot myself anyway? Like, seriously?

Is there a way to fix this without having to replace it? It's not like it's a huge issue, but I don't want to spend lots of money.

well a replacement spring costs nearly nothing.

but it depends if you wanna replace it yourself or pay to have it done.
i replace my own gun parts. its good to know how to disassemble em anyways.

Nor me or my father know how to disassemble the gun ourselves. I'm just not sure what the cost of it being replaced professionally is, or where I can find somewhere near me.
