It sounds like a local business. It's 100x easier to get a job at a local business rather than a franchise such as McDonalds, Walmart, richard's, etc.

I work and own partnership of a local business so I have every authority to tell you I've never heard a more incorrect statement.

Local businesses usually keep their employees very long term, so there's next to no room for a new employee except maybe every once in a blue moon.

On top of that they discourage hiring teens who are going to quit the second they're out of school

That's your opinion though. I've had 4 jobs in my life. First one was for a local business. Got the job almost immediately. The next two were also for local businesses. All accepted my application while I was still awaiting answers from Price Chopper, Walmart, Petsmart, etc. They never got back to me once. Again, that's my opinion because I've had a lot more success getting part time jobs through local business rather than large associations/franchises.

Time to throw back to my first job.  This cute girl and I kinda had a thing that was on and off.  One evening it was really slow so we just went in the back fooled around and I got a BJ.  I was pretty pleased but she got pissed off later when she found out I had a girlfriend. :^)  TLDR - Befriend a cute girl get a BJ (Best advice)
