Author Topic: Post Your Top # Favorite Beatles Songs!  (Read 3569 times)

Post your top 3, 5, 10, 20, whatever number you want, favorite songs by the greatest band ever. Discussion of the Beatles, as well as their albums and songs are also encouraged.

Here's my top 25 songs:

1. Dig a Pony, Two of Us, Norwegian Wood, Don't Let Me Down
5. Getting Better
6. Baby You're a Rich Man
7. Polythene Pam/She Came in Through the Bathroom Window (38:20 - 39:35)
8. Penny Lane
9. Your Mother Should Know
10. Oh! Darling
11. While My Guitar Gently Weeps
12. The Ballad of John and Yoko (1:15:07 - 1:18:07)
13. Magical Mystery Tour
14. You Never Give Me Your Money
15. We Can Work It Out
16. Get Back
17. And Your Bird Can Sing
18. Lady Madonna
19. She Said She Said
20. I've Got a Feeling
21. Come Together
22. A Day in the Life
23. I Want You (She's So Heavy) (17:07  - 24:54)
24. Maxwell's Silver Hammer
25. Rain

There's a 4 way tie for 1st because I can't decide. This was really tough putting together, which isn't surprising.

Here's my top 5 favorite albums:

1. Abbey Road
2. Let It Be (Can't find)
3. Magical Mystery Tour
4. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
5. Revolver

It took me years to decide that Abbey Road beat out Let It Be. I've come to the conclusion that as an album, Abbey Road is better, but as far as individual songs, Let It Be is better.

Discuss! I'd like to see some of your guys' lists and opinions.

Oh, and if one of the links doesn't work, please tell me.

I love all of the Beatles albums, it'd be hard for me to find song I like the most, slightly more easier to find songs that I like the least.

Yeah, I can't tell you my #1. Like in the list, I can give you 4 songs for my top 4 but in no particular order.

I'm not as big a fan as you are, but I do enjoy the Beatles. My favorite of all their songs is probably Across the Universe. It's like a mellow space rock lullaby.

you're missing hey bulldog and glass onion and dear prudence

0/10 list

I dont like the beatles.
I even had to do an essay on them for the last year of my college, 10,000 words...
I literally know so much about them and I hate them so much I'm so glad I never have to sit in one of those lectures again.

That's too bad. Which came first? The essay or the you hating them?

Number one would be a tie between Maxwell's Silver Hammer and Blackbird.
Number two would be probably a tie again between Help! and Eleanor Rigby.
Number three is Hey Jude.
Number four is The Fool on the Hill.
Number five is Girl.
Number six is A Day in the Life.
Number seven is Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da.
Number eight is Hello Goodbye.
Number nine is Get Back
Number ten is Glass Onion.
