zelda oot facts galore!
legend of zelda ocarina of time is only half of what the game was supposed to be.
early in its development, the medallions awarded at the end of the temples were believed to be used as magical spells, rather than just collector pieces.

its believed that the forest medallion was actually supposed to be for the wind temple rather than the forest temple. the wind shaped icon, along with the games spell "farores wind" backs up this theroy

during development, link was able shoot beams of light out of his sword. the attack was removed for the final game, but textures and working code still exist in the games files.

the reason arwings are in zelda oot, is because developers used the arwings flight patterns as a basis for volvagias.

during development, there was a female npc named aria, who followed you around and gave you advice much like navi.

version 1.0 of oot contains islamic chanting in the fire temple, many textures and the mirror shield have a moon and crest on them, ganondorf coughed up blood, and ganon bleeds out when link stabs him in the end. all of these instances were removed in versions 1.1 and up.
