oh lord afterimages I get so many of them

your vision works like this:  there is a patch on the back of your eyeball, and two types of detectors work here:  rods and cones.  these two types of cells work together in tandem to produce the vision you currently see.  as light hits these cells, it basically lights up those cells.  one pixel is probably lighting up a couple thousand cells together.  the longer you stare at an image (that's abnormally bright, usually), the more those cells are being fired on with light.  they effectively burn-in an image like a plasma tv, except the effects aren't permanent typically.

Wrong. Those floaters are globs of protein. In fact, it is impossible to see red blood cells with your eyes. It is possible to see white blood cells due to something known as the blue-field entoptic phenomenon.

The first (and only) guns kill with engines off occurred in World War II when a P-38 Lightning pilot forgot to switch the fuel feed after releasing his drop tanks. He happened to pull up close enough to a flight of Fw 190s (or a Bf 109s I can't remember which) right before his engines went out and fired on the first plane in his sights.

Probably not all that uncommon, but pretty cool nontheless

Fun fact: lots of people have heard their own definitions of what floaters are and are willing to debate them regardless of how much they know of the subject. You probably shouldn't trust any of them.

There is a coffee mug in every scene of Fight Club.
Despite their cuddly appearance koalas make the most loving terrifying sounds, after hearing one screeching you wouldn't want to touch them.

yes but by saying you should never trust them ignores the fact that floaters are a specific thing and not some subjective concept

I said probably shouldn't trust them, of course there is a legitimate definition of what floaters are but all you're going to find most places you look are peoples differing definitions. Since there can only be one correct answer to the question of floaters that means that the majority of people are wrong and you shouldn't bother listening to them.
Sandwich didn't even quote that part anywho.
