I would definitely recommend it.
The story is pretty compelling, with lots of interesting plot points and surprises.
The acting is usually top-notch with some big Hollywood and TV stars, including Sean Bean, Charles Dance and Jerome Flynn, but does have a lot of child-actors, who are pretty good, but are obviously learning to improve.
The detail in the series is very good. There's a lot of money spent on it and the sets, costumes, props and CGI are really nice. It does capture the themes it goes for very well.
Definitely give it a good look.
The first couple of episodes do partake in a regular HBO tradition of having plenty of tits and fanny in order to attract as many people as possible.
Nudity is present throughout, but it does tend to drop in scale after the first couple of episodes of each season.
S01Ep01 is tits-galore.
If you like the TV series then I definitely recommend reading the books.
They're very good and have some great character development/internal monologue which is sorely missed from the TV series. They're also equally thrilling and compelling.
