Author Topic: Python interpreter in Blockland  (Read 1587 times)

Similar to what's done in Minecraft with the ComputerCraft mod. Is this a thing that can be done in Blockland?

I thought about this plenty of times but thought it either wasn't possible or would be so hacky that it wouldn't be worth it. If this happens, can we use Python 2.x or Lua? Python 3's syntax imo is pretty bad and I prefer the more C-like syntax of Python 2.x.

Yes, if Badspot added an interpreter to the engine.

this is more than possible.

this is more than possible.
It's... what? Already implemented? Extra possible? What does this even mean?

there are existing implementations of python into torque. this is totally possible and i'm almost convinced people have actually done it to blockland before.

Uh.. what? How is Python 2 more C-like than Python 3? If anything, Python 3 is more C-like because print is a function.

I can't offer you a Python interpreter, but..

oh trinick
thats really cool

That's nice. Is it written in TorqueScript?

edit: Nevermind... "BlocklandJS.exe." So it's in C++.
