Author Topic: Two+ idiots need games to play  (Read 912 times)

so i have a friend who i play with often and a couple of other friends who are online every once in a while. we keep running into the problem of what game can we play that's cooperative fun and not some DM that makes us pissed at each other. also my friend has a mac and i'm windows, eugh

we've played a lot of games and we're running out of ideas

- Blockland
- Team Fortress 2 (+MvM)
- Minecraft (i hosted a bullstuff amount of fun with that)
- Dungeon Defenders
- Borderlands 2 (+ loads of DLC)
- Starbound
- Spiral Knights
- Ace of Spades
- Awesomenauts
- Garry's Mod (Prop Hunt, Sandbox, but i'm not playing TTT no siree)
- Realm of the Mad God
- Terraria (1.1.whatever, since 1.2 doesn't have a mac port)
- Monaco
- Left 4 Dead 2
- Hammerwatch
- Castle Crashers
- Forge Quest
- Attack on Titan Unity Game
- bunch of other stuff that wasn't a steam game but we did that 2+ years ago so whatever

stuff we're considering:
- Wizard 101
- Rust
- i kind of want Guild Wars 2 but it's expensive
- Two Worlds II

go ahead and use this as a list of stuff for you to use; but also if you have games you play with your friends, dont hesitate to mention it here! we can pay for some games assuming they aren't like $40+, any help appreciated

don't play wizard 101
it's a stuff game that eventually makes you pay to get further in the game

I'd suggest Rust. It's not very expensive and is pretty fun with friends (Besides the frustration that it can cause).
I've never played Two Worlds II, but I really liked the first one. (Even if nobody else did lol).

don't play wizard 101
yeah that was kind of the joke between us, we were complaining about how bad it was and then decided to play it ironically, when in reality we (or at least i) just wanted to see it again.

We'll probs play it for stuffs and giggles but we won't ever pay for it

I guess I'll give some suggestions since I tend to find myself asking the same question.

1. Killing Floor is a great game to play with 2-4 people. You'll find yourselves both challenged and having a good laugh at the holiday events.
2. Just Cause 2 Multiplayer. I haven't tried it yet but I hear it's good fun and for how cheap the game is when it's on sale you can't go wrong.
3. Magicka is another cheap game with some real challenge. Also really cool to learn the spell combinations.
4. Payday 2 is a coop game about heists. Really fun learning curve. Starting on that game is the best part.
5. Rage is about $5 on sale. I've not played it yet but I recently got it. Looks like it could be fun to play with friends.
6. Resident Evil 5 or 6. Both are coop and good for killing time and having a few laughs. I didn't like 6 much but 5 was pretty decent.
7. Rust is much, much, more enjoyable with teamates. Most people aren't friendly and you could use someone to watch your back.
8. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. This game is amazingly fun to do Terrorist Hunt or Coop Story with friends. I heavily suggest this one.
9. 7 Days to Die is like Minecraft but with a zombie survival twist. It sounds unoriginal but it's really fun. It's an alpha though so be wary of that.

Nine decent suggestions right there.
