What if I were to host a clan tournament?

It's just in the theoretical phase right now, but do you all think it might be a good idea to host a friendly tournament between clans? I would host various competitions like building competitions, TDMs, or other gamemodes and various clans can enter and whoever wins the most can win the title. There would be a limit of how many members can be on at once. Do you think it's a good idea? Do you think people could stay civil or would it get out of hand? If you own a clan or are part of one, would you join (or ask the owner to join)?

Again, this isn't for sure, I just wanted to get your opinions on it before I spend time getting it ready.

I don't have any ideas, and for large clans it could be expensive.
