Votekick that bans the instigator when it fails?

Would it be possible for Votekick to backfire and ban the instigator if it fails? I remember playing on Ibans Afganistan DM way back before v20(I remember it was V13-V16), and the votekick would ban the instigator instead if it failed.

EDIT:On second thought, it shouldn't be the first time, it should be multiple votekicks failed, or based on how badly it fails, maybe even both.

It would be more sensible to ban the instigator if he/she started multiple votekicks that fail in a variable time frame, not at the first time a votekick fails.

It should also depend on how badly it fails.

Or replace votekick with either:
-A gamemode/build that doesn't require babysitting.
-Competent admins.

This would be really annoying; I could understand a kick but trying to votekick and getting banned for it is way too much.

I kinda like that. People would only do it if the person really needed to be banned, not just vote kicking because they have a vendetta against them.

It would have to fail pretty miserable to ban the original voter though. Like 80% no's. (If it just fails naturally because of a lack of yes's, then the caller is ok)

when somebody vote kicks somebody else, it's pretty much just a vote of one or the other instead of just letting it serve it's purpose, as people would vote to kick even if they're not breaking rules if it's a popular person starting the kick

votekick is a cheap (and ineffective) solution for not having real administration
nothing that is based on the opinions of your players will be fair

One player is clever, a group of players is a pile of idiots that will abuse every power given to them.

a group of kids would act like turds and when someone votes to kick them, the voter gets kicked

this could backfire really easily especially if you're in a server full of handicaps who don't vote or vote against you because the person you're trying to kick convinced them to in whatever way

Then again, I'd WANT to be banned from a server with poor administration.
