getting upset over something this miniscule doesn't count as "depression."

depression is a mental condition where people are so down that even the simplest of tasks seem absolutely overwhelming. from what i've heard it's like being stuck in a box with seemingly no way to get out of it or help yourself. it's a serious condition and people who don't understand it seem to love just throwing around the term whenever things don't go how they want them to and/or just so happen to get into an emotional rut for a little while.

just because you forget up with talking to a girl at an age where such brief relationships don't matter doesn't mean you're depressed.
