Is it possible to play steam games that are for pc on mac?

I just got a new macbook pro, and steam won't let me download a steam game that was for pc. I was going to try and like use a 'wrapper' or whatever they are called. I'm not really good with Apple stuff yet xD

well, yeah you can dual boot windows 7 on a mac and play games like that

Just duel boot it with bootcamp and bonus points if you delete the mac OS off.
