Author Topic: Pretty sure I got a cop fired today.  (Read 3465 times)

calling the cops on a cop sounds kinda weird, like a paradox or something
What if the cop had to arrest himself?

Well at least he got what was coming to him for searching your car unfairly. But-

He asks you if you are carrying weed or whatever stuff people smoke these days and suddenly he's a "corrupt" cop? Can you at least say "no" without being snarky like a douche? And if he pushes the matter THEN pull the "rights" ordeal on him.

What's the fun in that? The only thing they are allowed to do at a checkpoint are stop you and ask questions. It doesn't say anywhere that I need to answer them, so I took advantage of that and did exactly that.

or you could've not been a total starfish and just answered "no" to his question

You didn't need to be a richard about it.

Its usually the best option to answer questions that wouldn't hurt a fly rather than jumping the gun to cause a scene if the cop is dumb enough to do so. So are you telling me you'd rather thrive off the attention of being a jackass?

That was a beautiful story. Nice job Ravencroft.

Or you could have just been on your way and totally avoided the situation??????????????

Wow raven, you must have a ton of friends who don't think you're an ass.

A warrant is needed if they don't have a probable cause. And he didn't have a probable cause.

I'd assume it was probable cause if you said "No, you don't have the right to search my possesions."

Just havin' some fun.

I'd assume it was probable cause if you said "No, you don't have the right to search my possesions."
Uh no. That's not a probable cause at all. If it was that would be super unreasonable. There's a thing called privacy.

All they need to search your car is probable cause. You being a little ass and not answering a couple simple questions was cause enough imo.

I'd be suspicious too if I said "hurr don't have to answer your questions lol" instead of answering them like a normal person

Just havin' some fun.

there's also a thing called safety. if you feel that you can't have a cop looking in your car chances are there's something you don't want him to see
or even if you didn't have anything, it still raises a really big red flag

not sure why its fun to have a cop search your vehicle

Probable cause has to be supported with reason and supporting evidence. The only thing visible in my car was my snowboard across the back seat and my coffee mug.
