Author Topic: Quick, suggest me Steam games!  (Read 719 times)

I have $40 on Steam. I want games. Suggest me some.

My preferences:
- Preferably nothing too hard, I'm not very skilled :P
- This is a list of games whose styles I like:
The Legend of Zelda (3D ones, mainly)
Zero Escape (999 and Virtue's Last Reward)
   Portal 2
   Terraria
   Fallout 3 (kinda)
- Nothing too CPU-intensive, I don't have a very good computer
EDIT: I really should add a price point. I would say I'm willing to go $10-$20 per game because I want to get a few with my money.

Barbie™ Dreamhouse Party™

Contagion is pretty fun, if you know what you're doing. It's still in beta, and has very few maps and game modes. But i think it's a fine investment. http://store.steampowered.com/app/238430/

dayz, fallout: new vegas, far cry 3, err, skyrim?

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear sky or Shadows of Chernobyl and take pictures for me so i can build it in blockland.

Eh, it's not my style of game
Starbound.
I already own it

Again, DayZ isn't really my style of game. New Vegas is definitely an option but I've yet to finish Fallout 3, so I'll wait. I really don't know about Far Cry 3, but I've heard mixed things about it and it's a little pricey. Skyrim is definitely on my list but I'm going to wait for it to go on sale because $30 is a little more than I was hoping to pay. Thanks for the good suggestions!

Well that's a bit selfish of you :P

STALKER games are great. i also recommend it. but not sure if its "your style of game"

Sometimes it's best to try out new games. Contagion is different than most zombie survivals that I've played. And I've played too many

It actually looks kinda fun.
Mostly what I'm trying to avoid are games where you just shoot stuff. If I wanted to play a game where I get a gun and shoot crap I would play TF2 or a DM in Blockland. I'm in the mood for an adventure game like Zelda or hell something like Super Mario 64. If there's nothing N64-era like that, then something really, really plot heavy.

Have you played borderlands 1/2? Borderlands 2 is really plot heavy, to the point where i had a personal vendeta with the antagonist.

World of goo is a cheap fun puzzle game that has an amazing soundtrack.
