it can be both, logically
some people are born naturally gay or another loveuality
but some can change their loveuality

I didn't straight up say that you were gay.

You going into defense mode, however, does bring me closer to thinking you actually are. Most people who are strongly against homoloveuality tend to "shut out" all statements regarding them being gay. When people block out things like this it usually means they are not ready to accept it or admit it. Blocking is a sort of an internal defense mechanism.
