ITS A HUGE HIT IN AUSTRALIA

Slovenia declares it's independence. Troops are sent in to retake the region.

ok so I got really sick today and got sent home

might as well compile the list for the potential rps

Post-nuclear haulocaust factions RP.  Everyone starts with small factions of a couple thousand to a hundred thousand people and tries to capture precious resources, clean water, scrap metal, etc.

Sound good?

well yes, that would be one of the potentials

That never really worked out.  And it doesn't have to be the US.  Maybe try just a custom "tile" map (tiles can be amorphous like in SJEF and not fit to a grid).

well muslim tried to make a spinoff so of course it didn't work out

his second version seems to be doing a little better however

Eeehhh it's still in early stages.  Wouldn't say that yet.  He's made like 5 of these America faction RPs, and only one of them wasn't a flop.

My reason in saying a custom map is because it sorta adds to the spirit of the nation RP appeal of being thrown into unique situations.  Usually this deals with solely interaction with other parties, but with a custom map, this means new challenges and opportunities.  I think as geography buffs, we're all pretty knowledgeable on what land claims are favorable and paramount for control in the real world.  With a new map, it changes that, and it gives even more competition to control land because of less certainty.  More competition == more activity.

And I would like to add, the rules of war?  Redefined.

well I'm a history buff, not a geography buff

war > mountains

Well think of all the varying types of maps in Civ V.  Part of custom maps changes the strategy.

That.

Looks.

Perfect.

I can see the Mediterranean resemblance, though, but it's distorted enough so that it doesn't matter.
