One thing you don't want in HS is to ride the bus. It sucks. Try and make friends with upper classman. I was friends with tons of them freshman year and always got rides to and from school from them. Then a became a junior and got my license so I could drive myself. Didn't ride the bus once in HS

Don't be the guy who took five years to finish high school.
lmao I know a guy who'll be on his 6th next year (His senior, senior, senior year)

And dont worry lol I entered highschool being 5'6" 124lbs

I also entered high school as a scrawny kid. i was around 5 6' and 100 pounds :3
I am now a fair bit bigger than that xD

Grades are all that matter. It's loving stupid but it's the truth.

freshmen year determines your entire life. it doesn't matter what your aspirations are, if you get below a 4.0 gpa freshmen year you're loving USELESS. you are the dirt in the crevices of society. every famous person got amazing grades in freshmen year and never slacked off, because they knew if they had bad marks on their transcript they would loving DIE

SO DON'T forget AROUND

idk about you guys and your highschools but mine has an optional fifth year for highschool. we call it super-seniors. if your school has this option i recommend taking it, especially if don't do well in one of your school years.

We only need 24 credits to graduate high-school. A class that is every other day for the whole year is 1 credit. If we don't take study hall we can get 8 credits a year so we technically graduate while we are only juniors. We also do not have an extra year the only option for getting more credits is to take online classes during our regular 4 years.

Luckily there is an ice rink at our school that has a snack bar with actual good food.

get the hell off blockland and tell me what cognitive dissonance it

Fit in, but not to the extent where you've compromised your personality.
Find your niche, stay there.
Keep on top of work, or work will get on top of you.
Extracurricular activity/clubs is good.
Don't try too hard.
Schedule at least one easy class per semester so that your entire day isn't terrible.

try to maintain your grades above 70
plenty of good universities accept with over 70% as your grades.

aim for like 80-90 for early acceptance though.

good luck mate don't stress over the first two years.

The high-schoolers and the middle-schoolers ride the same bus in my town.

I live in a relatively peaceful town (Except for a school shooting a couple years ago) So I doubt that my stuff will be vandalized or stolen. But I am a little worried about Juniors and Seniors and how they feel about Freshmen. I am a 5ft 6 scrawny white boy so I should probably worry about things like that, but on the other hand most of the kids in my grade are also scrawny white boys and girls. Also I am not prone to causing trouble the worst punishment I have ever got was a bus write up that was declined by my school guidance counselor.

none of the juniors or seniors ever talked to me

i was friends with a couple of sophomores and yeah. just do your work and dont forget around
