my school has a 98% graduating rate what the forget

I think the best thing to do is know your place, respect the teachers and the students, get to know everybody, and let the teachers have a good first impression of you.

my school anything that doesn't round up to at least 70 is failing, and I know a kid who passed a class with a 69.6 lol

this certainly explains a lot.

it's also kinda important to meet a few teachers that you really like and get to know them/let them get to know you pretty well
maybe not from freshman year but definitely sophomore+

gotta get those good letters of recommendation

oh and my school puts you on "students of concern" list if you have like a C- in something but i don't think you fail until a D

Also, be careful as to whom you talk to.
Maybe thats just my school..

My school has no D's and you are required to attend tutoring if any of your grades are below a C (70%)
Try and fight the freshman norms if you can (smelly, annoying, slacking)
I would recommend you get straight A's because as the years go on the work will pile up.
Do your work the day it's assigned, not the night before it is due. A senior told me this when I was a freshman and I only mildly follow it which is not good for me.

Oh and don't be a friend ok? Because freshmen that aren't annoying pricks are highly respected by upper classmen.

do homework and get grades and all that, but don't ruin yourself

like, don't procrastinate so you don't end up studying the day before the test  till 3 am.

do good in school but don't forget to live life normally

Do all your homework at school. Your life will be so much easier.

grab the first inside-out pocket you see that is available. and walk with that guy.

Try to make friends from other grades, it will help you onto your school years.
