i'd probably put it a bit less scathing, but mlp attracts people to it not because of it's "superb writing" and "amazing visuals", but because of the existence of a community around the show that shelters these people. I watched a lot of the show- it's another kids show. it's nicely animated, but nothing to freak out over.

I know people are going to get mad and butthurt for saying this but the fact that the attempt was over something so little was pretty lame. I would understand if he was being bullied for being gay or something similar to that but this is stupid. Honestly the whole anti bullying campaign is getting so out of whack now that their is no definite line between "bullying" and not bullying. Pretty much nowadays you can't get mad or upset with someone at school without it being considered bullying and its seen as a threat to safety. forget everybody
