Author Topic: New website for add-ons  (Read 677 times)

Since RTB will sadly shutdown, we will need atleast a replacement for the add-ons hosting part, a website where we can upload add-ons and updates to it, including a GUI where it alerts you when an update is out so you can update it in-game or on the website just like how RTB works.

Also players can steal add-ons and builds and claim it that they made it on Steam Workshop so I don't think that will be a good replacement

100% support. Let's get this made.

Well, who's going to pay for it? and depending on what language it get's coded in, might be able to help or not.

I would support, but there could also be the fact that Ephialtes can pass down the RTB system to someone who is greatly trusted for further development.

I dont get why someone doesnt just make a server people can register mods on and a little system that goes through a list and checks the version against the server and if it is out of date request  the most recent versions dl link and dl it.

steam workshop
I explained on this topic at how this is not a good replacement

we all know what'll happen, too many kiddies will make an alternative which results in a huge drama against who's is best and why it's the best.

i think the best alternative is for badspot to twerk his way to an actual add-on system rather than the simple thread in a petty sub-forum

Badspot needs to make official irc, friends list, and addon hosting.
Seriously that should have all been integrated with bl a long time ago
